I dislike them. They do seem to be in decline though, either people are using them less, or the alarm systems are better at telling the difference between someone breaking in and a squirrel sneezing three blocks away. Thank !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! for that.

Honestly, I think they seem a little pointless.

Most people just ignore them because they assume it's going off for some reason other than a break-in.

Exactly. People just get mad at the cars owner, making them even less likely to give a shit on the off chance some one is doing something to the car.

BUT if manufactures take it off saying getting it pass the gov it would lead to: Lawsuits, anger, whiplash, more lawsuits, loss of sales, loss of brand intergreity etc.

I'm a little paranoid so I prefer having an alarm. BMW EWS is hard to get in or out.
